Christine Nyiranshimiyimana

As Head Legal and Company Secretary of a commodity exchange company, I serve as the guardian of legal compliance, corporate governance, and institutional integrity. My role is multifaceted, combining advisory, regulatory, and governance responsibilities to ensure that the organization operates transparently and sustainably as I provide legal guidance on all aspects of the exchange’s activities.

Christine Nyiranshimiyimana is a senior legal and land governance professional with over 15 years of experience in land administration, dispute resolution, and regulatory reform. She currently serves as Registrar of Land Titles at the National Land Authority in Kigali, where she oversees land registration systems, digital land records, and stakeholder engagement. Christine has previously held leadership roles at the Capital Market Authority and the Ministry of Trade and Industry, where she negotiated bilateral investment treaties, drafted trade legislation, and contributed to the establishment of the Kigali International Arbitration Center. She is also a certified mediator and experienced lecturer in legal drafting, commercial law, and land law at several Rwandan universities. Christine holds an LLM in Commercial Law from the University of Cape Town and completed the Hubert H. Humphrey Fulbright Program at American University Washington College of Law, specializing in dispute resolution.
