Doreen Abuya

Doreen is a fisheries officer with the County Government of Nakuru, dedicated to creating meaningful change within her community. With a profound interest in food systems, she leverages her expertise to ensure the sustainable management and conservation of aquatic resources. She provides technical support, conducts environmental impact assessments and training to local fishing communities, and advocates for sustainable fishing practices. Doreen holds a joint MSc in Limnology and Wetland Management from the University of Natural Resources & Life Sciences (BOKU) Austria, Egerton University Kenya, and IHE Delft Institute for Water Education Netherlands.
