Venacious Rupiah Tembo
Project Officer at Lattice Aquaculture Limited
Civil society / International NGO / Donor & UN agency
I work at the intersection of agribusiness and inclusive market systems, helping smallholder farmers and rural value chain actors access fair, sustainable markets across Zambia and the region. Through a Mastercard Foundation–funded programme, I connect soybean producers to fish feed factories in Uganda and Kenya, strengthening inclusive, resilient food systems.
I am a Food Systems and Inclusive Market Development Professional with over 5+ years of experience designing and implementing market-based solutions that expand economic opportunities for smallholder farmers, rural enterprises, and underserved agricultural communities across Zambia. I holds a BSc Agribusiness. I specialise in agribusiness development, food value chain mobilisation, smallholder market linkages, cross-border trade facilitation, and donor-funded programme implementation, using a systems thinking approach to identify market constraints and develop practical, sustainable solutions. Currently, i work as a Project Officer at Lattice Aquaculture Limited under a Mastercard Foundation–funded regional programme where I connect smallholder soybean producer groups to cross-border fish feed factories in Uganda and Kenya, contributing to more inclusive and resilient food systems across the region. I am driven by a deep commitment to transforming Zambia's food systems, making them fairer, more productive, and more profitable for the communities that depend on them most.
